A proposal for a competition organized by the "Remembrance and Future" Foundation. The Commemoration is to be built in the vicinity of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

A man's greatness is measured by his morality, a morality that transcends time and place. It is enhanced in times of a conflict when one decides to act according to his conscience, while putting his life at risk.
The Poles who chose to save Jews from the Nazi claws followed their inner and personal moral voice. Part of the rescuers acted within an organized network and others operated alone. These peoples created a hidden web of individual rays of light scattered in the callers, attics, barns and backyards. These people witnessed the terror in front of their eyes and understood that beyond the blood libels, the caricatures, the slandering, the inhuman laws and deportations; these are people who had their basic human rights stripped off them.
The work represents both the individual decisions and randomness of the rescue in contradiction to the systematic killing machine. It reflects the web of light flickering through the dark chaos of war. A light that emerges from the kindness of individuals who chose to put the value of life as their beacon while putting themselves at risk.
