The human soul strives for a sense of stability and security, yet at the same time, it is evolutionarily programmed to cope with challenges to that stability in order to survive and reach new equilibriums.

In this prolonged period, many of us feel that whenever a certain inner stability is achieved, it is quickly unsettled in the face of personal and collective suffering—whether experienced firsthand or through empathy and mutual responsibility. In fact, the inherent uncertainty of human existence is laid bare, revealing the illusion of static stability.

The image of walking a tightrope and attempting to find balance in an unstable reality is a common motif in visual arts as well as in other art forms. The pursuit of harmony and composition that conveys balance, contrasted with the disruption of balance in a dynamic and movement-filled composition, are in constant dialogue. This interplay serves as an allegory for the human condition, which becomes particularly exposed in times of crisis.
